At the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon, the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Toronto Raptors 99-94 in overtime thanks to a tip-layup from rookie second-round selection Jalen Wilson.

The Nets started the contest on fire, soaring to a 16-point halftime advantage. However, the Raptors, who scored a total of 57 points in the final two regulation minutes to force overtime, dominated the second half.

With a surge in the extra time that was topped off by Wilson's basket, Brooklyn recovered and reached the desired score of 98.

Wilson scored 17 points to lead the Nets, and he added seven rebounds and one steal. David Duke, Jr., Kennedy Chandler, and Armoni Brooks each scored 15 points. Matt Lewis had five rebounds and 13 points. 

The Raptors were led by Ron Harper Jr., who finished with 19 points, three assists, one steal, and one block. 18 points and three blocks were scored by Joe Wieskamp. 13 points, four assists, and one steal were contributed by DJ Hogg.

Now that the playoff round is about to start on Saturday, the two teams are anticipating prospective opponents.
